Located at the northern foot of Wanling Hill in the southern suburbs of Jinan, Jinan Campus of Shandong Medical College covers an area of more than 707,000 square meters, of which over 160000 square meters is floor space. The permanent assets here cost approximately 230 million yuan RMB.

It has a staff of 476, of whom 100 have Doctor’s or Master’s degrees, and 127 are professors and vice-professors. There are also 10 foreign guest professors and 3 foreign teachers. Now there are 8,000 students taking courses in 20 specialities.
In addition, it is equipped with 43 laboratories, a library with a collection of 260,000 reference items and 41 affiliated teaching hospitals.
Since its establishment in 1954, the school has put importance on quality education and has built up its own distinctive features in teaching and research. Its traditional values of patriotism, progress, and science, together with the educational style of diligence, exactitude, truthfulness, and innovation, have been passed down from generation to generation. Its 30,000 graduates have been or are working in 16 different provinces and regions of China, including Shandong, Beijing, Shanghai, Hainan, Guangdong, Tibet and so on. Accounted as an excellent school by the Ministry of Education, Shandong Government and some other authoritative organizations, it has been awarded more than 20 prestigious honors.
The school remains active in cooperation and exchanges with such international and domestic academic and medical institutions as Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Changjiang University, shandong Qianfo Mountain Hospital, Shimadzu Corporation (Japan), Queensland university of Technology (Australia), Registered Nurses Recruiters, INC (The United States), etc.
